I remember going to a concert once and thinking distinctly that it was the best thing I'd ever heard... and that someone had ripped a gaping hole in my chest. The best art always makes me ache. The hole in my chest that night (and on many other occasions) I have begun to understand as "the longing". I believe that the best art, the most beautiful creations, give us a glimpse of the brilliance of the Original Creator.
