The Audiocentrix are a Rhode Island based modern rock band blending hard driving rhythms, synth rock, and pop hooks to form a catalog of infectious songs hailed by fans and critics alike. The band’s debut album, “Center Yourself” was released in the winter of 2004 to rave reviews. The disc earned the group a “Best Local Breakthrough Act” nomination in the 2005 AND 2006 Providence Phoenix Reader’s Poll, and it was named as one of the top ten albums of 2004 by renowned Phoenix music columnist Bob Gulla. Much of the credit for the group’s success can be attributed to the overwhelming appeal of the lead off single from the disc, “So Easy”. The song was a finalist for Pop Song of the Year on www.songoftheyear.com, was a “feature track of the day” and spent 8 weeks on the top 40 modern rock charts on www.garageband.com, received significant local recognition getting airplay on both major rock radio stations in the Providence, RI market and was nominated for “Best Song” in the 2005 Providence Phoenix Reader’s Poll.

Now the Audiocentrix are poised for the next chapter in their quest to catch the world’s ear with the release of the band’s eagerly anticipated follow up disc, entitled “Suicide Lust”. The new album highlights the same thought provoking songwriting and catchy hooks that gained them recognition on the debut, enhanced with the addition of digital ambience to establish a new sound for a new era. Clearly the group’s most ambitious work to date, the disc features the synth-pop style single “Everything You Are”, the Beatlesque “Good Enough”, and the live favorites “Kiss Me Like a Stranger” and “Bizarre Culmination”. Literally translated, The Audiocentrix means “sound is the center of the everything”, and this group has positioned itself to be the perfect bridge between the classic rock bands of the past and the new evolution of music.
