Are you listening to the band or is the band listening to you? The moment is disconcerting. There is a surprising insistence underlying the music coming from your speakers; a refusal to be part of the background. A hungry ghost has entered the room; the shadow of human contact in the Age of Information. Through the numbness of over-saturation, you are gently compelled toward active participation in the process of listening. Without you, the songs are simply binary code, but with you, they are a dialog between two selves, translated by a machine; a conversation that moves constantly toward resolution, but will never end. The Audiants committed their debut album, All the Time in the World, onto tangible media in the summer of 2001. The result is a compelling journey for anyone who likes their rock music melodic and smart. Well-crafted arrangements and Tim Marten's poignant and arresting lyrics lead listeners into their music. Keep the disc in your player for a few days and you will begin to notice that, with each new listen, a new layer will be discovered, and that the melodies move over an intricate structure. Recently, The Audiants made an in-studio appearance on WMFO-FM's live broadcast "On the Town with Mikey Dee." Various tracks from All the Time in the World have been featured in WMFO rotations as well as rock radio station WBCN-FM. Former Sony recording artist Gregory Damien Grinnell, who has worked with The Toasters, The Fleshtones, and PJ Harvey, remixed "Linear Song" and "Holding Pattern" for dance clubs. Look for The Audiants performing in rock clubs in and around the Northeast. They will be listening for you. Check out the artist's website: http://www.audiants.com Track List: 1.
