Full of angst, sarcasm and brash, The AnAesthetics bring forth their own reminiscent and creative style of high energy Pop Punk Rock & Roll Comedy. A mouthful for a duo that has a lot to say about everything from the evolution of growing up to what they really think about some of the people around them. Drawing upon a wide array of influences including Led Zeppelin and Lewis Black to Keith Richards and Kathy Griffin, who were not afraid to experiment or would not let themselves be limited to one style of music or comedy. Paul & Andrea DeLesDernier believe they should play the music they want. Ignore the trends or what's popular for the moment. Have fun and don't take everything so seriously. This theme is obvious in their new self titled CD featuring the song, Big Kids. Paul & Andrea, serve up an anthem for all of us who still dwell on the memories of holiday dinners in our childhood. Those memories of being banished to the kid's table. Dwelling on those memories for years, only to discover that when you finally reached the adult table, you wish you could be sent back to the kid's table where it is more fun! A reminder that while something looks good from one side of the room, it isn't always that way on the other side. While The AnAesthetics new CD continues with some of those observations, it is also focused on songs of fun and the simple things of life. NRG focuses on that instant raw sexual attraction you magically have for someone, while the rant Shut Up tells all those talking head know-it-alls to do exactly that, Shut Up! As too many artists today dance around and focus on songs of little to no meaning to try to be entertaining, it is clearly obvious that The AnAesthetics understand that the message in the song, (even if it is to just remind us not to take everything so seriously), is what music is really about.
