Biography The Addictions couldn'Ât be further from the whining, griping, and moaning of contemporary alternative rockers. They bring back what was so appealing about rock in the first place: hell-raising fun. The music is the driving passion behind the electrifying team of Jason Richard and Beth Richard, who share and trade lead vocals. The band is harnessed into a hard rock package with the pounding drums of Derek Hatley and the raunchy bass of David Warren. Adding Christopher Volloy'Âs aggressive guitar attack with Jason Richard'Âs power hooks gives the Addictions a twin onslaught as they alternate lead and rhythm seamlessly. The Addictions are all depth and crunch. The Addictions self-titled debut album on Electric Factory Records fulfills their promise of merciless rock n roll, with songs that feel like a dangerous act of rebellion. The album was recorded at Wire Recording Studio where Stuart Sullivan engineered, mixed, and co-produced along with Jason Richard. Sullivan has worked with such artists as Sublime, the Butthole Surfers, and The Meat Puppets. His extensive experience gives The Addictions a 10 song CD that captures their hard-core attitude and worships at the altar of sex, drugs, and rock & roll.
