"Full of hyper-charged riffs molded into tersely economical melodies...one of the most underrated and underestimated bands in Austin."
Chris Gray
Austin Chronicle

"The Action Is took the stage and destroyed it with a sonic wall of rock fury. ..reminiscent of early Sonic Youth and The Pixies, rounded out with ass-kicking rock 'n roll...these guys deliver an explosive set every time. If you haven't seen them yet, you must. This is one of the most underestimated bands in Austin's rock scene."
Frankie Vain
Rank and Revue

"The Action Is, from Austin, rock like the Stooges had somehow introduced bendy-string riffs to the Ron Asheton repertoire. Theirs is a loud and very exciting twin-guitar assault...[The Action Is] have us crashing our feet down so hard on the wooden floor that our socks are later welded to our sticky soles."

"These guys take 'post punk', or whatever you want
to call it, to a whole new level. The Action Is
delivers a no-bullshit, no-frills, ultra-hard-driving
rock and roll on steroids brand of music. This
band is a must-see."
Al Hodges

Produced by Steven Hall (Young Heart Attack),
Forget The Alibi has the unmistakable feel of a live recording, but it's not. This record is the first to fully capture the incendiary nature of their live show -- the show that has drawn so many critics and fans to the band.

Just about as far from the processed crap flowing from the majors these days as you can get, Forget The Alibi hearkens back to the days of pure DIY, although with Steven Hall behind the board, it's one of the best sounding "garage" records you're likely to hear.

Just don't talk to the band about "making it". They're far more interested in whether you like the album or not.
