MMBuzz
Metromode Magazine
Featured as the "MMBuzz Band of the Month" - June 2006

“Prayata is a great young band. Hard working, dedicated, and driven, they
have all of the tools to succeed. I have watched them grow and promote
themselves vigorously. With the proper guidance and the intense work
ethic, which they already possess, I see nowhere else for this band to go
but up. Prayata is an asset to anyone fortunate enough to work with them.”
Bill Terrell, Infexious Recordz

“True Denver rock-n-roll. The cutting edge of what is coming from the Denver music scene.”
Jeff Campbell, NIPP, Bluebird Theater

Biography
Prayata formed in early 2004 and has frequented such Denver venues as The Bluebird Theatre, Whiskey Bill’s, and Cricket on the Hill. Their heavy guitars, backbeats, and sick bass lines elevate the sultry and powerful vocals of Andrea Mauro, captivating patrons, club owners, and, well, everyone else.

The band first spread its wings last summer, during a tour to California. San Jose, Sacramento, and Berkeley were exceptionally friendly and await Prayata's return. Soon thereafter, the bandmates went separate ways, leaving lead vocalist Andrea Mauro and bassist/guitarist Emma Rios to find replacements. Ideally, their new members would have a sense of business etiquette, respect for one another, and otherwordly determination. They found perfect fits in Ersan Saribal and Jorge Urie.

An outside-the-box guitarist and bassist, Ersan brings a fresh dynamic to already original music. Jorge's spunk and charisma radiate through via his drumming. The circle of sound is complete.

The house of Prayata is a metamorphosis of music whose evolution occurs on a higher path. They strive to be one thing: a pure gift – selfless, unwarranted, and thus infinitely powerful. Their success is inevitable. If you don't scoop them up, nurture them... someone else will.
