The Sacramento foursome Last Day King (LDK) combines compelling music with a distinctive live show. Formed in early 1997 by guitarist Jeff Matej and vocalist Wayne Maki, the band has evolved a new edge of intensity with the recent overhaul of its rhythm section. Bassist James Geary (fresh from Sypher) brings his own finger-slapping bass lines to the band, while drummer Danny Hamilton (Foil, Coitus) supports the band with hard-hitting, pounding beats. Added to this are the haunting, and heavy guitar riffs by Jeff and the emotional, high-impact vocals of Wayne.
