Desdamona Racheli - Industrial Honey - bio

Didn't you ever receive hysterical and threatening phone calls from some woman because she caught her husband whacking off and saying YOUR name?! Or didn't you ever wake up (from a one night stand) and find a full size butcher knife lying next to the bed?! $600 dollars worth of collect phone calls from your jailbird boyfriend? Truth is stranger than... Songwriter Desdamona Racheli's lyrics focus on her travels, quirky experiences and the universal theme of perplexing relationships. An optimist and an observer, her mistakes become the fuel, the opportunity to make a change or do something better. Corrupted Flowers is a collection of songs about love and getting hurt, getting back up on your feet, and laughing at yourself... and others. Industrial Honey is the band of talented musical stylists that Desdamona pooled together to make her dreams come true.

Desdamona Racheli started her musical career in Berlin, Germany, playing the club scene with blues bands. She studied bass and piano formally when she moved to Los Angeles, and toured nationally with Grammy nominated metal guitarist Tony MacAlpine, Ingwe Malmsteen drummer Mike Terrana, and Dayspring/Sparrow artists Rachel Rachel. Desdamona played in Dame Edna's Talk Show band and acted in the Ordway Musical Theatre's production of Buddy (Holly). While finishing Corrupted Flowers in the spring of 2002, Desdamona would run off to rehearse and play Jacek, the bassist, in Outward Spiral Theater's (Minneapolis) hit production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Industrial Honey recently traveled to Berlin and Prague to perform. Their tour experience was captured in the film "From Absinth with Love".

Musicians on Corrupted Flowers:
Bass, keys, lead and backing vocals: Desdamona Racheli
Guitarists: Scott Harvey. Paul Jarmer, of the Minneapolis emo band BUSS.
Drummers: Brent Langley of the Cold Cranking Amps, Gelly of The Fastest Turbo Fire Engine, Joe Mabbott of Trail Mix studios and the Minneapolis band Sunnysmack.
Oh, yeah... and Jenise Simonet did the crazy lady voiceover on 'Sorry 4 U'. Desdamona says, "I still have the real phone messages on a cassette... but it would have been too creepy to use those on my CD."
