representing a fascination with how loud things can sound beautiful, how soft things can sound powerful, how music can inspire both exhilatation and numbness, leave one staring wide-eyed like a child in wonder and feeling the grip of death at the same time. our goal is sound both sweepingly beautiful and painfully crushing -- at the same time if possible.

we will never achieve this. there is no end, just the journey.

The Absence of Light is the inital offering from what will grow to be a full-length CD, dealing with the struggle to overcome fear, doubt, societal norms, and other things that constrain us. It was recorded, produced and mixed at Rosewood Studio by El Paso legend Mike Major, who has produced albums by At The Drive-In, and more recently, Sparta's second album, "Porcelain."
