Art Damaged punk rock from Akron, Ohio. C.D. Truth has been writing and performing their brand of punk, alternative, experimental type songs for over a decade. This starts off w/ a totally great tune called 'Simpler Way' that's kind of like WEEN jamming w/CHIXDIGGIT! Real pop but real twisted underneath too. Happily they continue the damaged trend, but they don't seem boxed-in by any particular style. They just use what they got to construct melodic and catchy punk rock that sounds like it got left too close to a radiator for a while. Sometimes they're like the ANGRY SAMOANS hooking up w/FLIPPER, sometimes they just revel in globs of deranged art rock and distorted confusion and we really like 'em. Wilder than Robert Downey Jr. at a pill party. Seedy gets weirder and darker the longer it goes on, like a stranger that persuaded you into his car w/ sweets and then really started scarin' ya once you were buckled up. Great off-the-wall shit, a real refreshing and interesting change from the norm. Concentrate on the size of the fingers reaching for you.
