Binocular's version of Danny Scherr's "Maybe You're Gone" appeared as the first end credit song of "The Girl Next Door", a 20th Century Fox teen comedy (2004). The DVD reached #1 on the Billboard charts upon its release in August 2004, and the film was shown heavily on HBO and Cinemax in 2005. Other artists sharing the soundtrack of "The Girl Next Door"--described as "one of the most astounding collections ever put to film" (Dustin Putman, themovieboy.com) --are The Who, Queen, Marvin Gaye, Mark Kozelek, Elliott Smith, Patti LaBelle, Donovan, Sloan, Harry Nilsson, Muddy Waters, the James Gang, Mogwai, Mark Kozelek, Richard Ashcroft, and David Gray.
