This sophmore release from Rochester, NY's Billy North features lots of hooky riffs, great melodies and seamless harmonies. Former Chesterfield King, Walt O'Brien, lends a heavy hand to the project(drums, bass, keys, vocals) giving it a slight sixties edge. The lyrics are clever and cynical at times,while sweet and introspective at other times.It's easy to tell Billy listened to a lot of Beatles, Tom Petty and Cheap Trick growing up,as thier influence spills over into most of the cuts. Jangly Rickenbackers galore and plenty of psychedelic ear candy make this a real treat for the power pop fan or anyone into good straight ahead rock and roll.
