Seattle-based billy moon is led by songwriter, Kristy Karen Smith (lead vocals, acoustic guitar). She is joined by Bruce Hazen on guitar, Alan Paisley on bass, and Steve Smith on drums. They have been playing together since 1995. As they travel the 12 songs that comprise Turn, listeners may think they've stumbled onto a sunny pop band, but that turns out to be just a stop along the way. Still ahead are country-washed love songs, acoustic meditations, and shaded rock songs made darker by the dangerous driving on guitar. Never merely a batch of songs stuck together, the album can be likened to a trip abroad…each country is distinct but the continent remains recognizable in its own right. The CD was recorded on a vintage 70's two inch tape machine which drummer, Steve, found in a music store and bought on an inspired whim. The band recorded it mostly live and didn't come back digitally, after the fact, to repair or tinker with the music. The goal was to create the warmth and reality of live performance and present an authentic slice of billy moon. Check out the artist's website: http://www.billymoon.net Track List: 1. Green Marble 2.
