Due to the recent attack on America, Benjamin Wagner is postponing the September 25th release of his new CD, "Crash Site."

Instead, Wagner is releasing a re-recorded an acoustic version of the title track, which, along with his previously scheduled Mercury Lounge performance, will benefit the United Way's September 11th Fund.

"I wrote the song 'Crash Site,' last August," Wagner explained from his New York City apartment Friday.

"I had been having of plane crash nightmares for years before figuring out that I associate them -- the sheer catostrophic failure -- with the catostrophic failure of my parent's divorce. The song is a metaphor; a way to understand how one thing, unconsciously, stands for another," he said.

"Tuesday morning, looking up from 12th Street as the North Tower of the World Trade Center collapsed into itself, everything changed. And I was left wondering just what to do."

"It's still feels completely unreal. I keep saying, 'I can't believe that really happened,'" Wagner finished. "So I'm just doing what I can."
