3 Mile Walk has arrived. With their new EP, this group of four California natives is gaining a sizable amount of attention by stirring the undercurrent of popular alternative rock with their creation of catchy hard-hitting rock to more intimate yet dynamic melodies. 3 Mile Walk is John Wilson (vocals, rhythm guitar), Jay Baldemor (bass guitar and background vocals), James Van Orden (lead guitar) and Paul Regnier (drums, percussion). Since their formation in October 2003, 3 Mile Walk has been hard at work on creating a united vision of musical style that is fresh and unique. Aptly described as “Atmospheric Rock,†3 Mile Walk moves you with melodic musical emotion. Beneath the strong vocals and harmonies which rise confidently above clever and exciting guitars, is the solid bass/drums rhythm backbone. From the smooth riffs and passionate vocals of “On My Way†to the ethereal emotion of “Someday†it is hard to believe 3 Mile Walk has been together a little over two years! The formation of the band began in 2002 with Orange County, CA natives John Wilson, Paul Regnier and Jay Baldemor forming the nucleus of the band now known as 3 Mile Walk. The first two years of the band’s existence was spent honing a sharp rhythm section and constructing strong lyrics. The band played a number of shows, but sought one additional element. In October 2003, James Van Orden joined the band as lead guitarist. Currently, 3 Mile Walk can be experienced live, performing in venues and universities up and down the coast, from San Diego to Newport Beach, Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo. With a full tour schedule coming soon and a hot new CD in the works, it looks like the journey for 3 Mile Walk is going to be a long one….
