Fourth Rotor is a modern d.i.y. punk underground band from Chicago. DOs: we make our own flavor of angry weird unique music. DON'Ts: churn out copy-cat sound alike "pick a genre" faux rebellious "punk" commercial pap. Why do we do this? We do it for ourselves; we're pissed about the world, and we let it out this way. We're into communicating with people, and doing our part to help build and sustain a true underground scene, one that doesn't need validation from the mainstream. Playing kickass live shows. Touring. We don't need a major label or stardom to do all these things. We're doing them right now. Get the message: you don't need anyone else to validate you, validate yourself. We've been around since 2000, and all of us are veterans of the Chicago D.i.Y. punk/underground scene, having been in many bands over the years (AMBITION MISSION, I.D.Under, 8 BARK, V.REVERSE, SPACE INVADERS) as well as collective D.i.Y. efforts (Underdog Records, Underdog Zine, Community Showers loft shows).
