Cosmonaut
"There is a real grove..." - Music Revue

Two assholes from Lansing (Jamesen's Brian George and Josh Stacey) met another from Grand Rapids (Veronica Speedwell's Rodney Johnson), and schemed about a rock-band; but they didn't have a singer. The aforementioned contacted an asshole from Kalamazoo (Thought Industry's Brent Oberlin). The Michigan quartet named the group Cosmonaut after minutes of heated debate.

Much history occurred prior to this "forming", but has mercifully been omitted for the sake of good meter and reader attention.

What can I say? Rock-bios are boring.

2004 brings "Pipebomb Full of Nails", Cosmonaut's debut release on Ann Arbor's Swollen Lip Records. With song titles like "National Geographic Lovesong" and "The Orient is Red", this pissed-off Indie-rock platter is mmm-good.

Stop reading and listen to the album.
