"The Antenna Lodge's cryptic Three And One Half Eyes approaches music like walking into a dark room, with outstretched hands feeling through the blackness as the imagination makes monsters out of the shadows. Standard song structures are nowhere to be found. This is writhing, unpredictable experimentalism with a keen sense of space and a taste for darkness. Many of Antenna Lodge's out-there tactics are familiar. Some of it is reminiscent of experimental guitar bands like Pale Saints or His Name Is Alive. Its most distinctive factor is its lack of reverb. The polyrhythmic dissonance seems to float in a dry void. This only enhances the imaginative properties of the music, giving it a quiet, dreamy sense of dementia. Not for MTV."

"There's a sense that their music is barely confinable, yet no matter how aggressive or avant-garde they get, they always come back to a theme of tender and sublime beauty.... At their most aggressive...the band sounds like Glenn Branca and Sonic Youth battling the Melvins and Mogwai to the death...their sense of focus brings the cold precision of intellectual reason to a juncture with emotional intensity. Three and One Half Eyes is an unexplainable masterpiece (a post-industrial, neo-psychedelic, subliminal, alternative symphony for guitar, bass, and drums?) that seamlessly merges art with pop..."
