SOULFARM consists of four guys from New York who are forging an exciting new sound by combining the musical roots of their heritage with a shared passion for melodic song writing and modern, progressive arrangements. Their unique sound offers the rare combination of a multigenerational and cross-cultural appeal. Live, the band's riveting world-beat energy turns heads and makes every audience take notice.

Founded in New York City by guitarist and lead singer Noah Solomon Chase and lead guitarist-singer C Lanzbom, SOULFARM plays New American music. C, Noah and drummer-singer Mark Ambrosino comprise the band's uniquely positioned three-part harmony. Together with bass player Jeff Langston, they create a potent sound that screams originality as it melds a wide range of influences from rock and Latin, to Hebrew and Celtic folk music. Fueled by Lanzbom's captivating guitar leads, SOULFARM delivers it all with a flavor some like to call Mediterranean with a strong mix of native percussion, dance rhythms and confident, driving rhythm guitar that forces the listener to not only hear, but become the music.

In the years since the release of their first CD, THE RIDE, on the band's own Desert Rock Records label, SOULFARM has been found playing everywhere from the Bill Graham festivals in San Francisco with friends Steve Kimock and Merl Saunders, to the cultural stages of Berlin, Germany (where they recorded LIVE IN BERLIN and LIVE IN BERLIN 2). They have sold out the great clubs of Manhattan like the [now defunct] Wetlands (where they recorded the album LIVE AT WETLANDS), the city's famed Town Hall and more recently, BB King's Blues Club in Times Square. The band has opened for Bruce Hornsby and Shawn Colvin at the hugely successful Ben & Jerry's Festival in Vermont, and for Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart at the Firehouse in St. Louis. The band has performed together with Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction) and wrote and recorded several tracks with him, one of which appears on their album, GET YOUR SHINEBOX, with Farrell as guest vocalist. They recently played with Dispatch in front of a sold-out crowd in NYC's Irving Plaza and SOULFARM's lead guitarist C Lanzbom is featured on their latest CD. SOULFARM has ignited a wide fan base through extensive tours of the U.S. and Europe, and have also gained increased notoriety on college stages and at festival gatherings on two continents.

In their latest studio release, UNWIND, a matured SOULFARM emerges, full of new surprises as they perform unique originals and Middle Eastern tunes, which conjure up an exquisite blend of rock, pop, folk, country, and World Beat music topped with sweet-as-honey melodies and harmonies.

Bands like SOULFARM allow music to break out of stale cocoons. Appearances around the world have left crowds standing on their feet, groping for superlatives to describe the band's music, power and what exactly it might be that makes SOULFARM so different and special. Listen carefully and you'll hear an incessant influx of musical color. SOULFARM is music without metaphor, truly "New American" music, with rhythms you can hear on any neighborhood corner in any city -- gorgeous, aggressive, unpredictable rhythms flooding from the streets, windows, alleys and sidewalks.
