Sure, they're a dime a dozen. Bands looking to make it big, get the deal and get fame. But Revision wants more. Two and a half years out of the box they are just now getting their feet on the pavement of every city that will have them. They are a young group with a knack for finding a groove, excited by the fact that they have shows to play and ears to open. But you don't get that kind of passion from just being in a band. You get it from having music you believe in. Originating from the thriving college town of Ithaca, NY the band met at Ithaca College. Nick Bullock (guitar/vocals), Devon Reehl (drums/percussion) and Jon Petronzio (keys/vocals) built their local following to over 300 people a show and soon emerged as a strong regional presence. In November of 2004 they released their latest What It Is on Relevant Records. Completely original, self produced with extremely high recording quality, What It Is can be called an impressive accomplishment. It makes the listener want to rally like hell behind this band. Their debut album Broken Art came out in 2002 and over 1500 copies have been sold. Since 2003 Revision has hit the road hard, signing on with Simon Says Booking, playing over 100 shows in 2004 alone. Key markets include the Northeast, Midwest and South. In this period of time they've shared the stage with bands such as Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, George Clinton, Max Creek, Derek Trucks, Jen Durkin, Addison Groove Project, Melvin Sparks and Lake Trout. It's not enough to replicate a style or era...that's not what will make a group last. Revision is a vehicle for a new blend of sound; paying respect to those who came before them, while fighting for their a spot among the new jazz/funk revivalists. A new record, an aggressive touring schedule, online distrubution with CD Baby and Itunes, and a recently inked distribution deal with Homegrown Music Network all add to a growing buzz about this band. Keep an ear to the ground, and watch as these guys take the world by storm. Check out the artist's website: http://www.revisionmusic.com Track List: 1. Summertime 2. Sanctified 3. Nightmares 4.
