NYCO is a 5 piece rock band out of Chicago. The band's founding member, Ted Atkatz, is formerly the principal percussionist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, but he is going on to write, play and perform with NYCO. The band has been featured on WGN TV, WXRT radio, Q101 Chicago, and on many college stations. NYCO's first full length release, Two, is the culmination of two years of writing and recording by the band. The band stretches stylistically on Two, with songs that alternate between soulful and raucous. NYCO is not shying away from hooky choruses and tight grooves that you'd hear on the radio. The band's music has been compared to that of Train, Steely Dan, and Ben Folds, while the singing is reminiscent of Chris Cornell of Soundgarden. Two was recorded in Los Angeles and Chicago, and the album is produced by two time Grammy winner, Jim Tullio, known for his work with The Band, Mavis Staples, and John Martin. The band is spending the next year touring the country to promote their first release. Get it now! Check out the artist's website: http://www.nycomusic.com Track List: 1. English Song 2.
