Not being the biggest fan of hard rock in the world, I am very impressed when something shows promise. The melody and hook in "Time Of Your Life" did just that. Concentrating on the groups potential could send Midnite Jammer Band on their way. ---Randy Karr

This band's all set to pump up some adrenalin at a hard rocking stadium. Don't forget to kick back a couple of cold ones in the parking lot beforehand, warming you up for the classic, guitar-driven assault.- Jesse T.

Riff Music Magazine - Stage Feedback - May 2001 - Volume 1 issue 8 The Midnite Jammer Band The Midnite Jammer Band played at Rick's Libation Station in Greeley on April 13 and 14 and gave an amazing performance. I was only there for Saturday night, but from the way they were rockin' they must have been awesome on Friday night too. This once California band has recreated itself here in Colorado, the starting place for Dave Murphy. Their Manager said they have been nicknamed the Jammers, an appropriate name for the performance I was at. The lead singer was energized and lively, even though he was getting over having the flu. He had a since of knowing he could belt out the song with clarity and purpose, even not feeling his 100% best. His stage presence was one of comedy and fun. In between songs he would tell jokes and keep the whole bar in an energized mood. The stage was cramped and yet he flowed on it, while dancing to every song the band played. His energy created a full live shove show instead of just a band playing on a stage. The band themselves was smooth and well blended musically and instrumentally.

They all played with the energy that the vocalist displayed on stage the whole night. Donnie Pottger on drums, played with a fire that could almost not be contained and made his drumming look as if it were nothing at all. Watching him quickly switch between songs without as much as a notice to the different rhythms and tempos was just awe-inspiring. The lead guitarist / songwriter brought the passion of the band out to the front and helped to drive the rhythms home to the dancers on the floor. He even switched to a double-neck guitar for one song, showing us how skillful he really is. The bass player displayed what it meant to play heavy blues and jazz without effort and still keep the passion burning in the background. Together these members created a rich and enduring remembrance of heavy blues.

They are an all-original band and even have one song ready to hit the top 40 charts. The song is called "Find My Way" and is a very beautiful, soft and well-written song. Nice for couples to dance to also Thought the have help from a pianist on their CD, they performed it live that night and it sounded great. They also performed songs from the old band in California. Many people got up and danced to the songs and enjoyed themselves. I can see this band going very far in the music industry. The Jammers have a great energy and clarity in their music and performance. If you have a chance to see the Jammers live, take it. By Tobie Bonahoom

Moonlight Calling CD Review. Of the four songs Midnite Jammer Band released on"Moonlight Calling" "Time of Your Life" is by far my favorite. This is an up tempo, "Kick Ass" rock 'n roll song If I ever heard one. The other song that was impressive on the "Moonlight Calling" CD was"Keep Keepin On". The use of the horn section showed diversity with respect to musical style and writing; Something a lot of other bands lack. The other two songs, "The West Is Best" and "Sally Strutt" are good and hold their own on the CD. After listening to "The West Is Best" a few times, it really begins to grow on you. I can't beleive that this band is not currently under contract with a major record label. ----Robert Lee

A regeneration of Southern Rock stirred up with metallic blues, the Midnite Jammer Band offers infectious instrumentals. MJB is clearly at their best when free wheelin' through their blazing guitar based intrumentals and can hook into a groove. Great rock tunes. Check them out! ----Randy Karr

Back In The Fight

This band was formed in Denver, Colorado in 1981. A few years later they moved to Southern California. MJB is a rock band that is influenced by blues and Southern rock. This is certainly not a heavy metal band but they know how to write a catchy tune with lots of groove. The guitar work on the songs is very addictive and they have beside their rocking side also a nose to write a decent ballad. MJB is a band that you will have to hear live to hear their real power I think. If you are digging a good Southern rock song now and then, then contact these guys. You can find some tunes on mp3.com or e-mail the band.
