Sez Dr. OP:

There's a lot to be said for economy in music, for cutting out all but the essentials and presenting what's left like gems on black velvet.

That's NOT what Ozone Player is about. Oh heavens no.

Dive into this, my latest record, as if it were an eye-chart of infinitely deepening Es. The big E is the overall shape of the record: the main musical ideas, the melodic hooks. Then the smaller Es: the unusual sounds, the moments of humor, the textures, rhythms, harmonies. Down, down you go, as the Es become smaller and smaller but no less involving, into the tiny variations in timbre, de tunings, pitch bends, burps and beeps, perhaps even (shock horror!) a mistake or two.

Then step back from the chart and take it all in, the total Experience from the telescopically large to the microscopically
small, all in focus at once. (Aren't you glad you're listening with your ears? If your eyes tried to do this you'd have a headache for a week.)

I trust you'll find that it's not like any eye-chart you've ever heard before...and therein lies the charm of Ozone Player.
