This is my first solo CD, but I've been playing in the LA music scene for over 20 years. I was one of the founding members of the Leaving Trains (one of West LA's original punk/blues/roots bands), and I've recorded, performed or toured with Sylvia Juncosa's To Damascus, Skooshny, Gregg Turner's Mistaken, the Need, Kill City, Dyrt, Screaming Flesh Machine, (one of several bands named) Cottonmouth, Van der Graaf Junior and I even sat (or rather, stood) in on a few sets by the great local blues band the Terraplanes.

I was also in an "alternative" cover band called Rustbucket, which I only mention here because it's the only lucrative music project I've yet worked on, which means it paid for much of my recording!

Right now (Yes! This minute!) I am performing with Kjehl Johansen (of the Urinals, 100 Flowers & Trotsky Icepick), Hunter Crowley (of the Leaving Trains, the Last, the Warlocks, Brian Jonestown Massacre and many other bands besides, I'm quite sure), and Steve Andrews (also of the Last).

Influences? Well, there are many, but the ones that come through on the CD are the Stranglers, the Buzzcocks, chamber music, Harry Belafonte, blues, psychedelia, Motown, Velvet Underground, Talking Heads ...

Performers on this CD include Sylvia Juncosa, past members of the Leaving Trains, Nymphs, the Need, and current members of Skooshny, the Mariettas, the Terraplanes, the Love Brothers, and Davie Allan and the Arrows.

The CD doesn't come with lyrics, but the website does! So come on down to www.pungentrecords.com!
