Dear unknown fan! Never are hippos more beautiful than when swimming against the current. And with this CD, ex-clusively containing music written by other people, we feel that we have once again succeeded in placing ourselves where we feel most at ease: opposing and confronting the "Spirit of times". In fact, one should never suck up to the "Spirit of times". Particularly not when and if the said spirit ranges would-be originality above everything else. Then again: "Ev'ry generation throws a hero up the pop-charts". That's what (Paul) Simon said - and right he was. That's all right. We don't mind. Actually, that's probably the way it should be. But of course, at times things happen that don't impress grown men a H... of a lot. In all due respect. To us these 13 titles have stood the test of time. We call them Classix. You too may know the titles. But don't expect to hear copycat-versions. As always, we treat the material exactly as is our pleasure. We've been playing them for many years.
