The Story Behind the Album Dan McCauley was a special person to all who knew him. He was creative, loving, talented and hilarious. He heard the beat of a different drummer. Maybe that's because he was a drummer. Anyone who saw him perform quickly realized he was a true musician. His style was powerful yet gentle, complex yet simple, creating atmosphere. Always so tasteful, so inspiring, contagious to those who played with him. In his world, behind the set, he bordered genius. Dan was a musician's musician, a natural. At first this album was written as my way of dealing with his intense battle of alcohol and drug abuse - to free my frustrations and emotions of watching and participating in his pain and sorrow. Later, to tell his story, the story of his pursuit of the elusive success as a musician and his search for inspiration, knowledge, and positive energy in the world of mind altering substances. He loved this album and felt honored that I understood what he was going through. He fought hard, through multiple rehabs and near death experiences. He wanted to live. He wanted to record this album with me and was unable to do so. However, we created the arrangements together, and his spirit lives on in this work. He wanted you to know. He wanted you to care. Here it is, all the pleasures and the pain. Check out the artist's website: http://www.ravenclanmusic.com Track List: 1. Staring at the Rain 2. In the Beginning 3. All My Dreams 4.
