No Service is: Mike - Guitar and Vocals Josh - Bass and Yellin Matt - Drums No Service was formed in 1998 by three long time friends from Fremont, California. Playing Punk Rock with a passion, their music is filled with fast beats, melodic hooks, blistering changes and good 'ol fashion rock-n-roll. While their style is undoubtedly all their own, influences include bands such as Bad Religion, NOFX, Lagwagon, Propagandhi, and Green Day. A reviewer writes: "I really like the style that you guys have. Its so relieving to know that there are at least some innovative punk bands out there. I love the vocals. You can tell that you actually enjoy what you do, thats why you do it well and it comes off good... ...Great music for a great band. Keep up the good work" No Service first gained popularity by rocking house parties all over the East Bay Area but soon moved to headlining venues such as The Cobalt (Vancouver,B.C.), Selynn Hall (Vancouver, B.C.), The Phoenix Theater (Petaluma, Ca), Kimo's (S.F., Ca), The Oasis (San Rafael, Ca), Sonoma State University (Rohnert Park, Ca), Hogshead Brewery (Sacramento, Ca), and various other clubs across the San Francisco Bay Area. Recently, three of their songs have rocketed to the Top Ten on the Punk Rock charts on GarageBand.com (www.garageband.com), a special accomplishment when you consider that what fueled that rocket was reviews from other musicians. Their song, Out of Touch, has been selected to be used in an independent film by Vertical Pool Productions (www.verticalpool.com). ============================================================ Song Reviews: "INDY" PUNK YOU now that is a good intro. "Somebody finally understands this is supposed to be the punk category. Vocals have a good back in the day feel. Guitar bass and drums are tight. Good early 80's punk guitar sound with a modern flair. almost sounds like 2 songs in one. Makes me want to get kicked in the head with a mass of sweating bodies thrashing about. Go" - skipjack Encinitas, California "OUT OF TOUCH" oof...that one kicked me in the balls...in a good way "sweeeeet song. i thought the intro was amazing. it was something that i never heard b4...all that fuckin w/ the feedback...at first i thought it was shitty recording...than i realized it was supposed to happen and it really grabbed my attention. the vocals are not high pitched and whiny like most...very calm and chilled out. the outro was quality guitarwork. nicely done." - HollywoodAve Fairfield, New Jersey "KILL YOUR RADIO" Great song!!! "What can I say, the music grabs you, and the singer pulls you in. Better than most of the stuff you hear on garageband. In fact, it's better than most punk period. Keep it up!" - burger Long Beach, California Check out the artist's website: http://www.noservicepunk.com Track List: 1. Poking Holes 2. Intro 3. Tic 4. Lost 5. Out of Touch 6. Indy 7. Crutch 8.
