H is Orange is a pretty exciting example of this." - Porktartare.com/sound reviews ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The band h is orange consists of Guy Staniar on drums, Troy Brittain on guitar, Marcel Blanco on bass, Jay Skinner on guitar/laptop and Sam Nelson on vocals. The band to date has successfully and independently completed four regional tours, distributed five-song e.p. "Be Silent and Know", acquired national radio play and film soundtrack inclusion, and performed opening slots for major label acts throughout the United States. The h is orange sound is built on an aggressive hard rock foundation complimented by melodic textures and smart, well-crafted lyrics. Their closest musical references are the A Perfect Circle, Deftones, and Filter but reviewers have also compared them to "U2 with a fork in their ass". Their unique and powerful sound - combined with an explosive, emotional live show - has made them stand out from the crowd; in fact, they were named by Music Connection Magazine in December 2002 as one of the "Top 100 Unsigned Bands." With just two and a half years together, h is orange has firmly established their musical mark, but continue to evolve, with plans for a full-length CD of new recordings to be released in summer 2003.
