Brandon McDonald sings (without yelling), Eric Torcasio and Phil Vandermost play solid lead and rhythm guitar that is not disguised behind multiple layers of distortion and overdrive, and the rhythm section of bassist Scott Von Kaenel and drummer Nick Hoffman play with the kind of expertise that draws natural comparisons to the engines that drive U2 and the "Some Girls"-era Rolling Stones.
