Formed in Boston in '97, El Camino's M.O. has been very simple from the start- take no prisoners. They set Boston Rock and Roll on fire, in the tradition carved by Aerosmith...intelligent rock that rolls with a vengeance.

Frontman Jimi V. was born on the Fourth of July. There was a reason for that...the gods like rock and roll. Jimi is the definitive American rock icon. Teeming with swagger and attitude, his sexually charged live performance is an unrivaled attraction in the Boston scene. What Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger brought to Rock and Roll in the 60's is what Jimi brings to the table now.

Jimi's local celebrity, along with the band's was upped considerably last fall with his involvement as a featured artist in "Customized-Art Inspired by Hot Rods Low-riders & American Car Culture", at Boston's prestigious Institute of Contemporary Art.

Ken Barclay's tasteful guitar prowess complements Jimi's unique and firey vocal style. Kenny is one of the worlds premiere unknown guitar players, but that seems temporary at best. This unmistakable sound is a fresh & accessible mixture of hard rock, punk, & r&b hooks built on a foundation of the ever-important groove supplied by Joey Camino & Wing Taylor on drums & bass respectively.

The past four years of El Camino's steady rise have culminated with a series of capacity shows throughout the East Coast, liberal radio and press support, and the release of their definitive statement to date, Autobiotics. 13 songs guaranteed to woo even the most jaded of critics & consumers alike.

If you remember great rock and roll... you're gonna dig this.
