Downsend is a hard rock band with progressive roots and a sound reminiscent of the Finnish rock group Amorphis. Jason's fast flying fingers and ass-kicking riffs couple with Andrew's punkesque vocals to set the tone for the band. Sean's booming bass and Max's intricate drum work supplement the rhythm section. Started in a garage by Andrew Kutsenda and Jason Briggs in the winter of '02, Downsend has kept it rocking through a revolving door of accompanying musicians. Now, with a lineup cemented with prodigy drummer Max Delbecq and Andrew's long time best friend Sean Link on bass, Downsend has turned it's sights to greater things. Downsend's first CD (Of Love And Shadows) was independantly released in the Summer of 2004.
