Hidden deep within the Northwest Florida riverbanks and the mysterious Tallahassee backwoods, Door No. 2 brews up it's own secret brand of electric fury. Eclectic by nature, DN2 blends jagged guitar driven energy with heavy rock rhythms and serves it up in a straight-forward, in your face, Molotov cocktail shot glass. DN2 is fronted by former NashVillian, Joe Blanton. The singer/songwriter/guitarist recorded 2 albums with A&M recording artists, "The Royal Court of China," which produced 2 videos seen on MTV; (1 directed by Sam Raimi of Spiderman fame and produced by actor/best-selling author, Bruce Campbell; (Evil Dead I,II and III/If Chins Could Kill.) Blanton moved further south when the band dissolved and formed Door No. 2 with drummer Shane Baxter. Baxter's four-on-the-floor with just enough flash style was the perfect complement for Blanton's growling lyrics and purist guitar bashing. The 2 inducted powerhouse bassist Matt K to provide the rumbling low-end and round out the louder and prouder unit known as Door No. 2. DN2 recorded it's debut album, "threshold," in early 2003 and has just released the 10 song offering on their own appropriately named, "Screaming Brain Recordings."
