DOLLY TRAUMA (1996 -- )

Musical Influences: Radiohead, Tool, Soundgarden, Dredg, Cave-In, Deftones

This four-piece melodic rock band began writing songs in 1996. By 1999 the band was playing shows throughout Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia and finishing up a 3-song demo that would go on to sell more than 1000 copies in just seven months.

The band's members took a break from gigging in 2002 to finish college and work on their self-produced debut album. Recorded and mixed by guitarist Jeff Seelye, the album was first released at a sold-out show in April 2003. During the first two weeks of May, Dolly Trauma's debut quickly became the best-selling local release in northeast Ohio, and sales in the Akron/Cleveland market continue to improve. In addition, fans from as far away as Australia, Finland and Brazil have been buying up copies of the album via the band's state-of-the-art, self-maintained web site.

With college out of the way and a self-produced album to promote, Dolly Trauma's members have re-dedicated themselves to achieving their artistic goals. These goals include:

1. Securing a contract with a management firm to aid in both booking tours and generating independent label interest

2. Marketing their debut album via the Internet to increase out-of-state and international album sales

3. Playing monthly shows in northeast Ohio to stimulate local album sales and put pressure on local radio stations to give their music its much-deserved airplay

4. Writing album #2
