Even before birth sounds appeared through waves of colors. There is rhythm in everything from the solace of the heartbeat, to the freedom of our footsteps. The knocking on a friends door. The patter of rein drops, to the aggression of thunder and lightning. I have centered my life's expressions around these rhythms, and patterns. I hope you enjoy the listening experience as much as I have enjoyed the Writing, and Riffage. My name is Steven Maiden, I am a songwriter who's instrument of choice is an Ibanez 7 string guitar. I of course love the drums, Bass, vocals, and keys!! I started playing trumpet in the 3rd grade, and continued to play in the school bands until a friend of mine who was a drummer introduced me to the drums, and eventually the guitar. I am an aggressive person, and lean towards expressing the power, and the dark side of human nature in my style of writing. I also love to fantasize, I have a vast imagination which sometimes borderlines on the psychotic edges of euphoria. Which you will realize once you give my latest conceptual CD a listen. It's a science fiction concept I wrote about alien existence. You will have to read the lyrics, and hear the songs to find out more.
