Keith Davies started Clark's Ditch in 1992. The band was a collusion of two names: some in the original line up wanted to name the band Clark, others Ditch. So there you go.

The final and longest lasting line up of Clark's Ditch came together in 1994. The Ditch (then consisting of Davies, Reese and Andrew Guthrow) needed a new drummer; Keith met James while working at Sammy T's in Fredericksburg. Soon after Zoey joined the band.

Clark's Ditch toured the East Coast for six years and put out two albums: Trafalgamoron and Colossus.

They broke up in 2000.
