After growing up with 15 years of classical French Horn, Alex Dolan learned guitar and developed as a singer-songwriter. From 1996-2000, He toured with Crash 22, developing a substantial following up and down the East Coast. From 2000 until the present, he has showcased a high-energy act in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The Move album is a departure from his last recording, Owe Me One Cannoli. While the last recording played with samples and hip-hop beats, Move focuses on a stripped-down recording with three people (instead of Cannoli's nine musicians), and adding emphasis on soulful melodies and heavy guitars.

Eric Matsuno contributes inventive bass lines, and Christian Horan lays down compelling rock grooves that complement Dolan's guitar and vocal work.
