violet skin is an all girl indie rock band from detroit. katie janness, the founder of the band, plays guitar and sings most of the time. dominique spina plays bass and sing sometimes. sara schmittroth plays guitar. john firneno plays drums. violet skin's first full length release, kabuki, combines the songs that were the beginnings of the band with some more developed songs that came with the musical growth of the band. currently, violet skin has enough material to release another album.
