Big Coffin Hunters is an original four-piece hard rock band from Portland, ME with a classic sound built from dueling guitars, thundering drums, and catchy vocal hooks. Take your classic 80’s metal, your 90’s grunge, add a sardonic twist and you have the music of BCH. You’ll get a brain-full of social commentary in a catchy chorus shot out of a guitar amplifier. Think Judas Priest vs. Fu Manchu, or Danzig vs. Motorhead. It’s a jumble of influences with one clear result: rock n’ roll! BCH started as a quartet in May of 2005 and began playing the regular circuit of Southern Maine music venues in the Portland / Lewiston areas. By branching out into New Hampshire and Northern Maine, BCH received positive press and opened for national acts such as guitarist Gary Hoey. With the release of their debut E.P. “Platinum Hinges for Pine Boxes,†BCH is garnering a presence in local music stores, online music sites, and iTunes. The BCH live show is all about playing to the audience. The band wants the audience to participate and have fun, because they are playing for YOUR enjoyment.
