Dear Reader of the Action Makes Bio,

Since you happen to hold in your hands, or have on your computer screen, a copy of this fine document, I‚m going to assume that you‚re the type of person who reads a lot of band bios. If you‚re not, this may not make sense to you and I‚ll ask you to excuse me for the tangent, but ho-lee fuck! Man, I feel for you. Those things are painful. I‚ve been reading through a whole bunch of them lately, trying to find some style or device I could, y‚know, rip off. And I‚ll be damned if all I found wasn‚t to be as boring, contrived, uninspired and fucking „grandiloquent‰ as possible. It‚s an ugly scene. So, basically I‚ve decided to take the approach of passing the pertinent information about our little rock-and-roll combo along to you without wasting my time and yours agonizing over the appropriate adjectives to describe our „sonic texture,‰ or some bullshit. Or trying to explain to you why analog, vinyl, hiss, Fun House, Take It From The Man and Highway 61 make us cream our pants. Or providing you with some needlessly wordy, self-aggrandizing, yet completely boring history of the band. Instead, I asked each band member to provide a small four-panel cartoon of what Action Makes means to them. Unfortunately, no one actually got around to this, so I guess you‚ll just have to give the disc a spin. Enjoy!
