*** BAND'S SHORT BIOGRAPHY *** The party started off in April 1999. The embryo of the CATHOUSE was a formation of three American hard rock influenced elements, of which today only the guitar-player RIKKI, the historical member of the band, remains. In September 1999 the bass guitar player GENE was engaged and after several auditions, also the talented MARK BLUESMAN joined the band as solo guitarist to complete the group with 5 elements. The CATHOUSE band started performing live the following year and with the first performances the first changes in the group also began. The band found, in fact, its definitive stability only with the début of DD CAT as vocalist in May 2001 and of SEXY RAKE in Summer 2002, to complete the current formation. Ever since it started performing, the band has given about 80 concerts. Its performances were initially based on a typical 80s Californian street-glam repertory, characterised by a strong guitar impact and by a sound that can be easily remembered also by those who are not familiar with this kind of music. More recently, the band changed in part his style and started playing with a strong influence of bands such Velvet Revolver and Brides of Destruction. The CATHOUSE can boast among their experiences some important performances as well. They supported both FASTER PUSSYCAT (from L.A.) and BANGO TANGO (from Sweden) in Milan. Furthermore the CATHOUSE took part in some festivals, such as "GLAM ATTAKK" in Turin (an Italian national show), in which the American SHAMELESS were the headliners. Then the band joined the "GLAM SHOT FESTIVAL" in Bologna, where some of the best Italian bands performed as well. After 4 years of intense activity, the CATHOUSE recorded and mixed their first EP titled "IN PUSSY WE TRUST" in only 8 days during July 2004, at "Suonovivo Studios" in Bergamo. This first recording summarises the first 2 years of the band with the 5-element formation and presents some of the songs that were written over 2002-2004. In March 2005, CATHOUSE were approached by the American label 'Perris Records' and thus joined the compilation "Hollywood Hairspray IV" (distributed worldwide) with their hit 'Rock is all you need'.
