Originating in 1997,One Shot Johnny is a three piece blues-based band working the Kentuckiana region. Live performances focus on an intense delivery of original and cover tunes with an emphasis on music that "moves you" - to dance, to contemplate, to shed a tear, to laugh and raise your glass to the infinite variety of human experience represented in blues music. Founding members, Randy Colvin(guitar) and Joe Shirley(bass) have worked together in a number of bands since the mid-seventies. Drummer Jeremiah Kelly joined the band in 2001. The band has been working central Kentucky and Kentuckiana for six years and performed at the 2003 W.C.Handy Festival.
