We'll let the critics speak for us! The esteemed journalist Ben Fong-Torres wrote: "Here's the Dylan classic as you've never heard it.

Come, Lily, a seven-women band who say that they came together by way of chats on the Internet, are into sex, sax, social consciousness, and a blend of jazz and rock.

"Rainy Day" is a prime example, and is getting plenty of college radio airplay.

So is another cut, "Sexcess." While the Dylan song trumpets, "Everybody must get stoned," "Sexcess" asserts that everybody must get?well, you know.

The band calls another track, "Jungle Lily," "full of sax appeal." Provocative as they are, Come, Lily deepens the mystery surrounding them by refusing to identify themselves.

They are "Music Heard, Not Scene." So, no photos.

Finally, they say, "In keeping with the band's interest of seeking solidarity with music lovers, they rely on the expediency, covertness and global reach of the Internet, inviting fans to listen to sound bites at their Web site: comelily.com and at their record label site apgrecords.com" Univ.

of Chicago Daily "The music is a bizarre pastiche of different styles both eccentric and challenging.

Another cool thing about this album is the drums, which are real.

Most of these songs are danceable, but acoustic drums are used instead of a drum machine.

The bassist for the band is the real deal as well.

"Sexcess" features one of the best bass lines you're likely to hear this year." IM Media Wire Service: "Wild conglomeration of world-folk, blues-pop.

Of course, when the honking sax comes in,the whole thing takes on a decidedly R&B flavor.

And with the off-kilter vocal lines, it often seems very fringe alternative rock-ish.

Kinda sorta.

Richly compelling in a "you're not going to believe this next bit" way.

Come, Lily is a Brand New Thing.

The originals are passionate and provocative, and the covers are inspired (Dylan's "Rainy Day Women #12 and 35" and Bessie Smith/Clarence Williams' "Bleedin' Hearted Blues".)
