WILDERNESS are notable for their unique sound fused from rock, pop and folk influences, mingling poetic lyrics with a friendly unpretentiousness - towards brighter movements for the 21st century - rock'n'roll with vision and heart.

We Are Real EP released June 20, 2005. The band are hard at work on their first album Speech Therapy for the Wicked. Major influences are new wave, the folk and pop of Bob Dylan and The Waterboys, the rock of The Who and Velvet Underground, soulful vision of The Doors, angst of The Stranglers . . . Youthful songs of mischief, desire, loss and sadness, plus transcendent perceptions.

REVIEWS
"This music is the sort to get you bopping joyfully without even realising it. Loads of cheeky lyrics and strutting guitars. It could have been made yesterday, five years ago or ten years ago . . . music that any girl in a flowery dress with a 60s haircut is bound to love - one for the students." - Tubs, scout at Besonic.com

LIVE PERFORMANCES
* Played indie nights, punk nights, benefits, free festivals in Brighton and London, Attila the Stockbroker's 'Glastonwick', Greenbelt Festival near Northampton . . .
* Wilderness plan to gig with new bassist and drummer by end of 2005.

ANECDOTAL STORY
* "At our first gig, at the Albert in Brighton, all went fine till the second song when 'Taxi for Mr Harris at the station' blew over the PA. The cables were picking up a local taxi firm, and it kept on every couple of minutes throughout the gig! Pete got pissed off, but, mad as it sounds, some of the 'taxi-speak' fitted in quite neatly like samples. Anyone who'd seen Spinal Tap must have thought it was a gag." - Brian Sequel
