Named for the ambient sounds that can be heard in the recording, Dogs, Trains, and Fighter Planes is a collection of original worship songs (and one hymn) recorded in a northwest Atlanta neighborhood.

Songwriters/worship leaders include Martin Reardon, Billy Somerville, and others, known for their previous work on the 2002 Vineyard Music release, 1000 Generations. That relatively large-budget project was received favorably by critics and fans of modern worship music (see www.vineyardmusic.com for details on this release).

Distinctly lacking in polish and production, Dogs, Trains, and Fighter Planes is quietly becoming a classic. Fans of honest music will find it hard to resist. Stand-out tracks on the CD are #1, "The Lord's Prayer" (written by Shane Ortiz, sung by Billy Somerville) and #3, "Bright as the Sun" (written and sung by Martin Reardon). Dynamically more related to classical music than pop music, the songs often begin quietly and swell to a crescendo.

Proceeds from Dogs, Trains, and Fighter Planes go to Trinity Vineyard Church, a new evangelical gathering in downtown Atlanta (www.trinityvineyard.org).
