Close Encounters was compiled in the Summer of the year 2005 by the best new music label Matchbox Recordings and Matchbox Radio 24. This album in true Matchbox style is diverse in taste and genre and concentrates on the power of the song. All of the artists are Independent ( Some call them unsigned ) and still own all of their publishing and copyright. The first encounter is the amazing Radio friendly quirky pop guitar gem" My Song" by Alkalined. This is followed by other powerful tracks , from the chilling dark rock of " The Misty Way" to the angelic spine tingling voice of Oxford based solo artist " Peter Jones". Also look out for the ethereal graceful sound of " Preesens", the goth-esq synth/guitar melodic mayhem of " Rapid Fiction" and the in yer face rock n' roll of " Colussus". In fact we could go on forever this album is a true reflection of the current UK and worldwide state of Indie music. From where we are standing it's looking good.
