Meet Rareview, a group of kids that loves to rock & roll.

Fueled by cases of PBR and late night croon-and-strum sessions around the fire pit, these 20-something adolescents are generally serious about two things: music and good times. All four of the band's members plunged head-first into the dark and seductive abyss that is music at an early age. Having lived in the same small, midwestern town during their early years, the boys crossed paths often. It wasn't until late 2002 that Rareview was conceived, after guitarist Joey Heinz and bassist Matt Streitz got serious about playing together. After years of "almosts" and "maybes," a phone call to a drummer and extra guitarist brought the band to its feet.

What you'll hear from Rareview is a blend of each member's distinct style: two parts beer can-clutching, feel-good bluegrass; one part soulful singer-songwriter ballad; and one part unrelenting hard rock. The result is a sound that wanders the crossroads of alt rock and folk. The sound on everrising is reminiscent of bands like Blind Melon and writers like David Gray.
