"Slick is a songwriter who crafts his music into the far horizons of artistic vision. The songs are produced in a manner that enhances the moods with layers of texture. Slick doens't slap an instrument into the mix without a reason, which makes the overall production the focal point of the work. In essence, the lyrics become one with the mix rather than a seperate entity. However, Slick's lyrics are farr from simple. He's at his best when he develops his tunes around a mystic quality.
