Attic Demonstration Kenneth Higney Killer record. Funny to say that now because my first spin left me with some kind of weird, temporary emotional disease. His lyrics are brutally hopeless and disheartening and I clearly remember thinking that this was NOT the type of music I wanted to surround myself with in life. Anyway, long story short, the album wore on and it ended up in higher rotation than any other LP I owned for weeks straight. Remarkable artifact that holds a very strange allure. Provides a fascinating glimpse into the damaged psyche of this thoughtful working class burnout. I don't really know the deal on "the band" here. I'm guessing it's Higney himself playing all the instruments, but I'm not positive. Either way, the guitar work on this one is super punk with highly charged fuzz blasts throughout and his rough-edged vocals perfectly suit the subject matter.
