With the opening burst of drums, and the flash of illuminated T.F.R lighting the stage Torn from Red begins their highly energized performance. Torn from Red was founded in early 2003 when Matt Diehl (guitar))
Nate Jones (Bass and Brett Shoffner (Drums) looked to create a new style that would be fresh in a somewhat stagnant music scene. Meeting Mike Landis (Vocals/Guitar) and hearing his talents on lead guitar (along vocal abilities) they were happy to add him to the strong and solid line-up, which ultimately became Torn from Red. The style of Torn from Red is tight emotional driven rock and roll band and has been making waves with catchy hooks, and explosive guitar solos. After establishing their name by playing local shows and events around the east coast, Torn from Red took to the studio to record their 2004 (EP) release The Day That I Met You at Cape Sound Studios in Lewisberry, Pa. The (EP) has been selling very well, and hasnt shown signs of slowing down. Torn from Red takes pride in being a Christian band. They write their lyrics with deep messages yet they strive in having lyrics that can also appeal to the secular world, letting them reach both groups of fans. Torn from Red has played festivals with large national bands like Blindside and Pillar, as well as clubs with national bands like Eighteen Visions and Haste the Day. Currently Torn from Red is looking forward to heading back in the studio and tracking some of their recent unrecorded singles. Until then you do not want to miss this bands exciting stage show!
